SCAA Flag Football Families,

Thank you for registering for the 2019 SCAA Flag Football season!  Total registrations have increased vs. last season!  I appreciate all the interest, popularity, and excitement.  We will have two divisions with four teams in each division, eight total teams.  This will be determined by final registrations.  I'm finalizing game field plans over the next few days.

The 2019 season will start at the same time as last season.  Please review the important dates below:

  • May 1st thru May 4th... Head Coach Interviews via phone

  • Tuesday, May 7th... 6:30pm - 7:45pm: Game Field Line Painting (Head Coaches to assist; additional volunteers are welcome)

  • Wednesday, May 8th… 6:15pm – 6:45pm: Mandatory Skills Evaluation Clinic Check-in (Location: Field #2 – next to Choate Circle - all Players & Head Coaches must be in attendance)

  • Wednesday, May 8th… 6:45pm – 8:00pm: Mandatory Skills Evaluation Clinic (Location: Field #2 – next to Choate Circle - all Players & Head Coaches must be in attendance)

  • Wednesday, May 8th… 8:00pm – 9:00pm: Player Draft (Head Coaches Only - Mandatory)

  • Friday, May 10th... Week #1 Games (game schedule to be posted by May 8th evening; jerseys to be distributed prior to each game)

  • Note: A formal game schedule will be distributed to coaches and uploaded to the website by May 8thth (evening)

Please email me if you have interest as a Head Coach.  All games will be scheduled for Friday and/or Wednesday nights.  Head Coaches will contact their respective families shortly after the draft regarding team assignment(s), introductions, and practice day.  Head Coaches may schedule only one (1) practice max per week in addition to the pre-game practice.  This league is about having fun and enjoying a late-Spring/Summer sport.  The SCAA Flag Football players are not entering the NFL Draft this season. :)

Again, the Skills Evaluation Clinic Check-in will be held this Wednesday, May 8th starting at 6:15PM.  Players will need t-shirt, shorts, cleats, mouth guard, and their own drinks for the Skills Evaluation Clinic.

For upcoming games, players will need their game jersey, shorts (not red, yellow or orange), cleats, and mouthguard.  No mouth guard = no game.

For additional info, go to www.scaasports.com.  The website will be updated throughout the season.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

-Coach Mike
